The Temporary Skill Shortage (TSS) visa is designed for skilled workers seeking to work in Australia temporarily and is broadly divided into 3 streams:

Short-Term Stream: Allows employers to sponsor skilled workers for up to 2 years. Extensions are possible, but this stream does not lead to permanent residency.

Medium-Term Stream: Offers sponsorship for up to 4 years. This stream may lead to permanent residency after a specified period.

Labour Agreement Stream: Tailored for workers nominated through a labour agreement between the employer and the Australian Government.

The Subclass 186 visa allows skilled workers nominated by an Australian employer to work and live in Australia permanently. It has three streams:

Direct Entry Stream:For applicants who have never or only briefly worked in Australia.

Temporary Residence Transition Stream: For temporary visa holders who have worked in Australia for at least 3 years.

Labour Agreement Stream: For workers nominated through a labour agreement between the employer and the Australian Government.

There are different types of occupational training you can participate in under this visa.

The first type is workplace-based training to acquire registration or licensing.
